Broken spectral reflection symmetry in a solvable PT −symmetric model

چکیده

Any non-Hermitian PT −symmetric quantum Hamiltonian H remains physical in a domain of parameters D where the spectrum is real and, hence, measurable. It has been conjectured and verified, recently, that the postulate of a self-duality of the spectrum Ej = −EN+1−j could simplify the structure of the manifold D. An independent constructive support of the plausibility of such a relationship is given here via a three-parametric counterexample. A complicated shape of the boundary ∂D is found and described by non-numerical formulae in a non-self-dual “benchmark” matrix model.

New Exactly Solvable Isospectral Partners for PT Symmetric Potentials

We examine in detail the possibilty of applying Darboux transformation to non Hermitian hamiltonians. In particular we propose a simple method of constructing exactly solvable PT symmetric potentials by applying Darboux transformation to higher states of an exactly solvable PT symmetric potential. It is shown that the resulting hamiltonian and the original one are pseudo supersymmetric partners...

un 2 00 3 An exactly solvable PT symmetric potential from the Natanzon class

The PT symmetric version of the generalised Ginocchio potential, a member of the general exactly solvable Natanzon potential class is analysed and its properties are compared with those of PT symmetric potentials from the more restricted shape-invariant class. It is found that the PT symmetric generalised Ginocchio potential has a number of properties in common with the latter potentials: it ca...

Exactly Solvable Many-Body Systems and Pseudo-Hermitian Point Interactions

The complex generalization of conventional quantum mechanics has been investigated extensively in recent years. In particular it is shown that the standard formulation of quantum mechanics in terms of Hermitian Hamiltonians is overly restrictive and a consistent physical theory of quantum mechanics can be built on a complex Hamiltonian that is not Hermitian but satisfies the less restrictive an...

Reciprocal and unidirectional scattering of parity-time symmetric structures

Parity-time (PT) symmetry is of great interest. The reciprocal and unidirectional features are intriguing besides the (PT) symmetry phase transition. Recently, the reciprocal transmission, unidirectional reflectionless and invisibility are intensively studied. Here, we show the reciprocal reflection/transmission in (PT)-symmetric system is closely related to the type of (PT) symmetry, that is, ...

Scattering in PT -Symmetric Quantum Mechanics

A general formalism is worked out for the description of one-dimensional scattering in non-hermitian quantum mechanics and constraints on transmission and reflection coefficients are derived in the cases of P, T or PT invariance of the Hamiltonian. Applications to some solvable PT -symmetric potentials are shown in detail. Our main original results concern the association of reflectionless pote...
